Soundproofing a Drain Pipe with SAPT220

Noise from drainage pipes through the floors and walls of flats is often disturbing to the occupants particularly at night when even the lowest of noise is more easily heard and disturbing.  This noise problem is now one that can easily be reduced by soundproofing the pipes with our SAPT220 sound barrier mat.  The SAPT220 comprises a sound barrier layer of soundproofing mat bonded to 10mm of sound absorbing foam and can be used as an acoustic pipe lagging material.  It can be glued or secured with metal straps or plastic ties before boxing in behind 30mm of high density Acoustic Plasterboard.  Several thicknesses can be applied as necessary and the more there is the more efficient the soundproofing of the pipe will become.  SAPT220 is available in a sheet size of 3m x 1.25m x 13mm supplied in rolls 1.25m wide.  For more information on this product along with the rest of our soundproofing and sound absorbing materials, go to www.soundservice.co.uk or call us on 01993704981
